cut out circle on the field, triangular part transferred
into the raft on the lake
‘Breakfast on the raft’ is a work which integrates into the natural surroundings of a beautiful American lake and at the same time is a quotation from the European painting icon. Consuming ‘remains’ after cutting out the circle in another part of the meadow, turf in the shape of triangle became a floating raft on which, I ate breakfast in the company of two artist friends. Moving the same structure, used to pastiche two different conventions of styles (Impressionism and Land-Art) work in collaboration with Meg Belichick.
