digital photography on backlit, plywood, 2012
This work is reconstruction of Ophelia from the famous painting of English Pre-Raphaelite John Millais in three-dimensional conditions. Romantic approach to death in Millais painting is meeting here the grotesque of plaster bunnies looking at Ophelia. In the second lightbox we see Ophelia in the grave, and the trouser of her alleged gravediggers. The third photograph shows the legs are actually dummies and not real thing. The fourth lightbox presents black boxes in front of the door with the sign EXIT.
